G. Training, Education, and Manpower Development. The award of training grants, scholarships, and the provision of other types of training and educational assistance are excluded. These actions include: 1. Support for development of professional and paraprofessional health competencies; 2. Support for development of American Indian and Alaskan Native health management capabilities; 3. Support for development of tribal and community capabilities in the areas of environmental improvement, disease reduction, injury control, and operation and maintenance of sanitation facilities; 4. Support for training and education of IHS personnel necessary for the efficient accomplishment of the IHS program; and 5. Educational activities including development of disease prevention and treatment and presentation of such material to American Indians and Alaskan Natives.
